Lost River Range and Mount Borah

This painting is close to my heart. The piece of land from which I painted the glorious Mount Borah (Idaho's tallest peak) is where my family retreats to as often as possible. I love this vast sage flat, surrounded by river, mountains, and desert plateaus. This painting was inspired by the fall day my husband and I got married in this place one October.

My "Portals" series gives doorways into 14 iconic landscapes within 150 miles of Boise. Original oil paintings are 88"x48".

A late fall morning on the trails below Table Rock in the Boise Foothills. I was delighted to find rosebushes and sagebrush adorned with frost, lit up by the sunrise.
